Re: [RC] Neoprene Half Chaps - Jerry KoppI have a pair of neoprene half chaps and ride in Kentucky where it can get pretty warm in the summer....your legs/shins will be wet under them. They are hot and I don't really like them. I also have some old Ariats, one year I found synthetic Ariat half chaps, they are not neoprene but some synthetic material that you can just hose off, not hot and pretty comfortable, but I have not been able to find them ever again and they are showing some age....but....here is my newest find....go to a sporting goods store ( I found them at Dicks ) and go to the football section. There you will find some neoprene pads which I think are arm protectors, really like a neoprene sleeve, they were $4.99 for two and you just slip them on your leg and position them where you need the leg protection. They don't cover your whole lower leg, they are very comfortable and they are cheap. Roxanne in Kentucky, who rides an unregistered arab but I think I put down arab when I got him an AERC number but don't know how to check and see what he is actually listed as... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
