[RC] daycare at rides - Alice Yovich

When my family is not present (meaning my husband as well as my daughter) I much prefer to leave Maggie at home. However, this fall, I was all set to leave for a ride and Peter's schedule did a belly flop and I had trouble having someone to keep her while I was on the trail...I was very lucky that a very good friend kept her for me and it was good for everyone. had I not found someone I wouldn't have gone on the ride, but I was just saying that I would love to be able to pay someone. I don't think it's at all realistic and I will hopefully be trading off with my friend when she is able to ride again. I was going to bring a sitter, interested in natrc with me, to a ride, but it didn't work out.

Babysitter
frankly do not belong at a ride if that is their sole function - paid childcare.
IMHO, that should be done at home.
