I certainly find that about bird sightings along the canals here. Riders are kind of livestock to the birds and they aren't nearly as spooked as they are by someone walking.

So maybe we get better sightings than mere hikers or bikers, eh?? Sure sounds like it from all the wonderful sighting stories I've been reading here lately!
