[RC] Truck bed/trailer width - Jerry Kopp

For those of you that haul goosenecks, I have a question.  I am getting a crew cab, regular bed.  I am also upgrading my trailer from a bumper pull to a gooseneck.  My trailer dealer suggests I consider a 7'6" wide trailer instead of an 8' wide one because of the shorter bed on the pickup.  I have described some of the fields I have had to try and park in for rides and he thinks I will have more turning ability with the 7'6" wide.  The nose of the gooseneck is a tapered one.  Would like to hear from those of you that have had experience.  Also, overall length of trailer is looking like 23 or 24 feet ( not counting the gooseneck part), I'm thinking that should be fairly easy to manuver.
Thanks,
Roxanne Kopp
