[RC] Too much sand clear... - Kari Hanes

Can too much sand clear have adverse effects? I went to the barn this morning to find 3 of my "boys" loose and having a good ole' time getting into everything! They couldn't get the lids off the grain barrels (thank goodness) but ate enough sandclear for 11 horses! Over 1/2 of the 20 lb. tub. They also ate about 10 lbs. of horse treats. So far they seem fine, maybe slightly bloated. Is there anything/side effects I should look for?

It was hard to be too upset with them. As soon as I opened the door one yearling looked at me and whinnied, as if to say "hey, we fed ourselves this morning". I opened their stall door and they just walked in on their own. But what a mess! The hay was scattered everywhere, all buckets and feeders had been tumbled and tossed around, rakes - manure forks - brooms all off there wall hangers and they pooped all over the darn place. The studs and mares were going nuts in their stalls because the boys wouldn't share. All the while I'm wondering why I love these critters so much!

Any and all suggestions are appreciated!
TIA
