RE: [RC] GPS, another question - Melanie Sloan

It doesn't function through metal well but works fine through a windshield.
As far as forest, it you are in really thick overhead trees it will lose
signal for a few seconds but I haven't found it to be enough to bother me.
It syncs back in quickly.  Cloudy days are no problem.  As far as driving, I
only lose it in tunnels.

I too have a question about buying a GPS (thinking Santa might want to bring
one)!  How much exposure to the sky does it need to function?  Will it work
on cloudy days or in the dense forested areas of western Washington?
