I have a mare that I purchased as an 8 yo. She had 2 foals before I purchased her. I have ridden this mare in competition for 8 years now and she has been a great horse. (Heidi likes her ;-) ) I mainly did 50's but the last couple years I have been doing several 75's and 2 day 100's. I will be sad when I have to retire this great horse. I am considering having her bred, but am still very undecided. She is coming 17 this spring.
I just purchased a 9 yo mare that has had 3 foals. I have high hopes of her being my up and coming competition horse.
