Adam,

I think if you do a search in the archives for "Ground Control" or
even "GC" you'll find a lot of posts about these shoes. Several of
us have been using them with success, others have not had as much
luck.  For me, they wear at about the same rate as steel and I have
no plans to go back to steel.  However, they need a good hoof since
the shoe allows expansion and contraction of the hoof with each
step which in turn can cause problems with the nail holes and cracking.

The price is not really all that bad since the shoes last through
several resettings.  And, IMO, they really do help reduce concussion.
