Re: [RC] Hoover horses - Karla Watson

My young horse is such a HOOVER that his heart rate WON'T go down at vet checks until he has had a bite of slop! He comes into vet check and thinks he has found "horse heaven" with all that food and people there to feed it to him. I have to let him eat a little or he will not drop at all. He believes he is at these rides to eat!

My husband's mare is such a hoover on the trail (and elsewhere) that
I'm tempted to put blinders on her so she can't see the salad bar she's
walking through.  Talk about a suvivalist!  (Now if we could just get a
decent work ethic on her to go with it!)
