There is no difference. Just the name. Some call it the spirit bridle because that is what the riding instructor in our area calls it. Some call it bitless .
The new design we are now calling a figure 8 combo bridle is a bit of everything.
You can use a bit , no bit , figure 8 or as a side pull
and it has a halter gullet strap

I have looked at the spirit bridle site. I've owned a bitless bridle. What's the difference between the two?  why are they in such a dispute with each other (and no, I didn't check the archives to see if this is old news, so bear with me)
