Re: [RC] Angry in the mountains of Idaho! - Ed & Wendy Hauser

" I'd have kicked my horse right into her ass and faced the
consequences"

Reads on why one should not say anything until you talk to a lawyer.
Consider you are on a jury:

1. The landowner shows up in court in a wheel chair and says "I was talking
to her about trespass when she ran me over with her horse." The police have
your statement that were angry and kicked your horse into her.

2. The landowner says the same thing, but your statements came after talking
to your lawyer.."She grabbed my horse. She was yelling threats at me. I
was afraid that she was going to hurt me and my horse. I tried to get away.
My horse knocked her down...."

Which story would be more likely to result in a finding of innocent...?
