[RC] Attn SE ride manager - Truman Prevatt

SE ride managers concerning insurance,

This will be spelled out in the next newsletter but I wanted to give you a heads up. There will be no change for the 2004 season - all SERA sanctioned rides will have converage as in the past. All extra insurance certificates will be handled as in the past ( by listing them on your sanctioning form) at NO additional cost. SERA will provide the AERC with an insurance certificate as it has done in the past, hence there will be NO additonal charge coming out of the AERC for insurance.

The SERA board will monitor the situtation as it develops and keep you posted. However, there will bo no changes untill the 2005 season at the earliest.

Personally, I find it very perplexing that there is an insurance "crisis." The anniversary date of the SERA policy is 1 Feb and the renewal showed up like clockwork as it has done every year.

We will keep you all informed, but as of now concentrate on running your normal top notch rides and don't concern youself with insurance. This year it will work the same way it's worked in the past.

Truman
