[RC] dare to go bare - DreamWeaver

I'm a NATRC rider who owns, but has not used the one easy boot I have. I was planning get get one more for her and then a couple for my daughter's pony, who is also barefoot. Now, i'm wondering if I'd rather have the boa boot. I can not use it competition b/c it comes up too high on the leg

Hi Alice -- just curious, but is the Boa boot not allowed because it touches the hairline around the top of the hoof? The Boa boots do not go around the ankles like other boots I have seen do. When I put the boots on my horses, they are fitting about the same as some easyboots would fit on some horses, esp. the old style easyboots if people had not trimmed them down. It could be that is because I have GC shoes on underneath. Between that and the Boa boots I think my horse is a full hand higher (that's a joke). :+P

So far, several rides and no rubbing. Going to ride another horse in them right now. Horses are moving good in them, no interfering and good traction in various footing -- concrete, paved roads, snow, mud, mud and more mud. I'll put a few hundred miles on these Boa boots and bring them to the convention for those that want to see how they look after being used. I wonder if they are safe to run thru the dishwasher <bg>. (yeah, they are a mess...but so are my own shoes)
