FW: [RC] weight on forehand-gaited horses downhill-running downhill, etc - Mike Sherrell

I think it's too hard on a gaited horse to ride it downhill at anything other than a walk.

i like to do that man from snowy river thing every chance i get.  you need a good balanced horse for that.  
 
gaited horses get downhill fast and look good doing it,  for many of the rest, it is called "stumbling with style"!    :-)
