==========================================

We purchased a former race horse, an arab mare, this spring
for my son, a jr. rider. My son put 325 competitive trail
miles on her this summer and fall, and she steadily improved.
She's solid, plows thru mud puddles like they aren't even
there, takes care of herself on the trail and in camp.
My son is not a bold rider. The mare's name is Queen Heartt.
I'm going to try and get my son to do some endurance on her
next year, but I've got to get him used to the idea of those
early morning wake up calls. Teenaged boys can sleep
forever, even in a tent.
