50 miles you aren't a "real" rider, how many times have I read that ANYONE can do 25 miles???

I agree Chrystal! I am just getting my young horse conditioned (he will be 5 next year). We ride for 3, 4 and 5 hours on the trail, mostley at a walk, up hills, down hills, past atv's(yikes), bicyles, dogs, people, to get him accustomed to any situation. When I tell somebody that I rode for 5 hours, the usual responce is "why"? especially if they are use to 45 minute ring work. I really enjoy a long trail ride!
