Having barrel raced in the past I'll bet a safe answer would be "You'll
end up WAY ahead  financially of where you do in barrels!". Kid's parents
are probably paying $50 entry fee 3 times for every one time she gets a
$75 payback...and if she rides 3 times she'd have paid $150 for 45
seconds of ride time. Compare that to endurance where my junior rider
rides 6 hrs. for 1/2 priced entry fee and has won a $100+ bridle for
being first junior!
