Re: [RC] Standardbreds.. forwarding from another list... - Advantage Saddles

Does anyone go to the Standardbred sales at the fairgrounds in
Delaware, Ohio?  There is a 4 day sale going on now.  While most go
for big bucks, I noticed that the first 10 horses were pretty
much "meat" price, the lowest one bringing $200.00.  Older
broodmares, selling open. One buyer, Frank Bauer from LaRue, Ohio
bought two. The sale results and catalog are on line at
www.bloodedhorse.com
I will be keeping track on line since I am in NY.  It would be
a good sale to go to and possibly save some nice old ladies and also
get to see the elite.  The top mare of the first day brought
$110,000!  I have found standardbreds to be wonderful family
horses.  Very easy to work with, they have been everywhere and seen
everything (except cows!). I do have 4 TB rescues along with the
standardbreds and find the standardbreds to be very level headed.
