Re: [RC] [RC] Ground Control shoes - Faustina Duffy

Not sure, but I think she meant, why not put the easyboots on over bare feet-they're not like the Boa boots (designed only for "overshoe" use.

Ooooh that is a loaded question :^).  If my horses lived in pasture year
around, they could probably stay barefoot, but since they don't, it's
easier to keep shoes on them than it is to fight their unnatural living
conditions at home.  Chief could probably pull off going barefoot and
competing to a certain degree.  My older horses couldn't, as we have tried
and one will grow pancakes and the other would probably end up with an
injury from the club foot/low heel issues he has.  I don't need to go so
far as to make my horse lame trying to prove that he can go barefoot when I
am competing on them so much, I have seen too many hurt horses over the
years from people who have tried it and failed and don't compete as much as
I do, and I do a lot of rides that are really really rocky.  Gawd I hope
this doesn't start people arguing over barefeet!!!!!!
