Subject: [RC] Ideal location to live... - Nikki McCormackHi Katie,We live in the Seattle, WA area. Very green and lush, but it does mean you have to deal with lots of rain (no more than NW Oregon). The mountains are beautiful and the reacreation opportunities (including places to ride) are very numerous. I am a newbie to endurance however, so I can't say too much about ride distances. There are a lot of local groups that put on fun rides several times a year, but these are not competitive endurance rides. That said, I do love this place, but it is expensive (not more than some areas in CA). There is sales tax, but no income tax so it kind of balances. You just try to make lots of money and spend it all on the horses. ;) Good luck in your search, Nikki & Cody =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
