[RC] [RC] full/semi QH bars - DRG1Heres some general guidelines on sizes. These are only general, as
tremendous variation occurs in what 1 saddle maker calls semi-QH-bars vs
Full-QH-bars etc. There is no standardization in the industry. Also, its hard to
really measure this once the saddle is built, so one has to
ask.
1. Semi QH Bars
= 6 1/2"
2. Quarter Horse Bar
(aka regular QH bar) = 6 3/4" gullet
*** 1 & 2 are
the most common sizes ***
3. Full QH Bars = 7"
gullet (for the bulldog type QH)
4. Arabian: 6 1/2" -
6 3/4" width & shorter gullet.
5. Haflinger = 7
1/2" gullet
6. Draft = 8
1/4" gullet
