Re: [RC] Calm Down paste - Dyane Smith

I have a horse that is similarly nuts under stressful circumstances.  I haven't done it yet, but I thought maybe T-touch might work and a number of events on which he just stands around and watches.  But I am interested in others' experiences, because my first horse was very experienced and I was still afraid to ride him at the start of any endurance ride.  And that (older) horse knew what the front-runners had done, never mind if we tried to go out two hours later.  In his case, the urgency was to pass everyone on the trail despite the fact that he had only been ridden CTR.

Subject: [RC] Calm Down paste

My husband and I ride by ourselves a lot and our horses are kind of underexposed to lots of strange horses and excitement while on a ride. I would like to take our horses on a limited distance ride or similar but I know they will both be going nuts at the start of the ride and am not willing to get hurt. Has anyone had any experience using "calm down paste" while riding? Thanks
