thats a great heads up....can't believe how stupid people
are.....and can't imagine why they can still sell that stuff in
Calif.

Because it grows anywhere, needs like NO water, and has pretty
color.

I'm not justifying it's use. Particularly around animals and/or
children. But, I'm just answering the "can't imagine why" part.

It's not legal to plant it in Norco, CA. People still do, of
course.

The only place I think it really has a place is along the freeway.
Saves a lot in water, I'd hope, vs other plants. But, as it's
now pointed out, the trimmings can end up other than where
they started. :(

I remember years ago I was in a parking lot that was filled
with pretty trees with bright red flowers. Always on the lookout
for new trees & plants, I walked up to see what they were since
they were so striking. You guessed it: they were oleanders that
were trimmed into a tree shape. Very pretty. Too bad they're
so incredibly deadly.

Was this Ulrik that died? I know he just died, but hadn't read
how.
