[RC] question..about land/farm/retiring in northern UT... - Patricia Wasmund

Anyone have any leads on a good place to retire/settle down in the northern Utah area?  I want to be able to ride (horse) from home to:  National Forest/BLM/type land. 
 
My son is moving to SLC area & thought it would be 'neat' to settle near him. .
Want reasonable land/farm/house  w/i 50 - 100 miles of civilization.
 
Is this possible in that part of the country?
