Re: [RC] Poultices - Kathrynmjackson

Hi,
I've personally used all types of poultices after competition. My favorite is Suretight, a gel with capsasian, the warming agent in hot peppers. I find it to be beneficial to both me and my horses. My hands feel sooooo good after I apply it to my horses legs! I've used traditional clay poultices with soft wraps and track bandages but this leaves a mess for you to deal with later. I may sound lazy admitting this but I like the idea of not having to clean my horses legs the next day. If my horse should appear to be "stocked up" I would go for the traditional clay poultice and bandage as you are cautioned not to wrap after applying the gel.         Kate J.
