[RC] [RC] Barefoot Saddles - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

So am curious how it is working for those who have
tried the Barefoot Saddle on rounded shortbacked Arabs.

Well Val, you can see my girl who wore my new Barefoot saddle
on a 50 a week ago and will wear it again on a 50 next weekend:

I don't have any photos of the saddle on her up yet, sorry.
Of course, in the ride photos the angle last weekend wasn't one
where you'd see the saddle anyway.

The girth does fall behind the natural girth groove, but it
didn't seem to pull the saddle forward at all. I do ride her in
a breastcollar and crupper. I'm not sure the saddle actually
would need either item, but as I do ride with the girth pretty
loose it's a safety measure. I did test it out on another horse
without either breastcollar or crupper, but not on hills yet.

Anyway, that mare is relatively short-backed and wide with well-sprung ribs.
