RE: [RC] [RC] Skyrider saddle - Ranelle Rubin

There is nothing I have seen that adjusts to fit the wide backed horse
like the Skyrider..that is how I found it myself. When I bought the
horse, Cary Ridgeway did the pre-purchase exam and said the horse was an
excellent prospect but he felt I would have a difficult time fitting a
saddle to him...and I did. That is until the Skyrider..the bars are an
actual hinge..not just flexible..so they spread to any angle and adjust
themselves..there is no adjustment needed..it is hard to describle until
you see it.

Susan,

My young mare has the widest back I've ever seen on a
horse. Nothing seems to work on her. I'm working now
with Nancy Temple at Duett Saddles. They make English
saddles especially for wide backed horses.

Nancy has been great about sending me saddles to try.
I'm hoping another size arrives today. I think we're
getting close on the right fit!

Can you get forward enough to jump small obsticales
in the Skyrider saddle? Any other comments about
this saddle or others like it?

Thank you for your help!
