Dear Merryben,
             Do I miss you woman! 
I can remember the days"come on grandma,
lets ride faster"! Then after 1000 miles 
of completions they gave me the reins and 
let me ride as an unsponsored junior, but
not on TEVIS or COW MOUNTAIN ,due to 
insurance reasons.
Oh what a mistake, giving me the control of the reins,
ripping  up the trail without good judgement of how I 
was stressing out the horse.
           After walking the horse, after many rides
thru the night to make sure he would recover,I stiil 
did not learn. I was still too young and immature to make 
an adult decision.
       At age 16, on the same horse I was selected and rode 
the North American Championship. I started at the right pace
in the begining, but rode too fast in the middle, and i had to nurse my horse 
to the finish.Once again, immature judgement!
      My point being: 
                     I am still learning just as "newbies"
                     I am still learning from MY ELDERS.
                     I am still learning from our HORSES.
                     I am still learning to be HUMBLE!
