[RC] another ultium question - Alice Yovich

I've been feeding ultium to my horse for 2 weeks now and she (and the pony, who just gets a little) seem to be doing great on it. my vet thinks that it's going to make them hot. I tried to find out why he thought so, but he just keeps saying that it's a hot food. I can't figure out why he thinks so. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced it making a horse hot and why might it? One of my friends wants to feed it to her TB dressage horse and the vet said "don't do it" that's what prompted this whole discussion. Thanks.
