[RC] marquis supergrip - Timothy Worden

Has anyone used the marquis supergrip boots in
competition? I don't recall any discussion about them
on this list. I've recently gotten the "barefoot"
bug...cough cough...I know, there must be something
wrong with me. Anyway, my new horse has had an
over-reaching problem for a while....easy to get with
a shortbacked long legged arabian. He's 100mile
potential, but 50-75mile heels;) Most of what I've
read about over-reaching is pulling shoes will often
stop this...and it appears it has. So what the heck,
I've gotten the Jamie Jackson natural hoof book,
getting some good tools and I'm going to give it a
try. So in the mean time, I'm using easy boots and
saving up for a pair of Marquis boots. They look more
sturdy and high performance than other boots on the
market. Just curious if there's anyone else on the
list who has used them extensively in 50-100miles
events. Don't jump all over me or another huge debate
about the barefoot thing, because I'm not convinced
steel shoes are totally bad. I just want to invest in
a good pair of hoof boots for protection. It's
something I'm trying with one of my 4 horses. Thanks

Tim
