[RC] Manzanita Ride - Vchorsegal

The Manzanita Ride, October 2nd, was fabulous again !!  Somehow, Terry Woolley Howe was in touch w/ the weather Gods, and we really had a perfect weekend.  Add to the mix delicious horse & rider snacks, sandwiches for lunch, wonderful volunteers and vets, a tri tip & chicken awards meal to die for, and terrific prizes- even  great completion awards !!
The event offered the typical 25 & 50 mile events, adding a 15 mile "fun"
ride for newbies.  This is an unsanctioned ride with no time constraints, but most of the perks !  There were a surprising amount of entries, and many go on to enjoy the LD & Endurance distances in the future.
For the Ride & Tie enthusiasts, a 15 & 25 mile course was offered.  We need to share trails to keep them !!
To top it off, Terry is managing the National Championship Rides in Warner Springs On October 7th & 10th- a huge undertaking that will take up much of the next week !
You cannot believe how much effort & expense goes into these events.  Please consider volunteering whenever you can, and always be super nice to the volunteers.  Even if you are competing at a ride, you can often find an hour or two to help with clean up or whatever, and it's fun !  Thanks again to Terry, David, and all the fabulous volunteers- You are the best !
