[RC] horse trailer floor - Julie Fuller

Many years ago I pulled the mats out of my ancient trailer (1969 model) and discovered the floor was untreated. I parked in on a slant, pressure washed it, and put Thompson's Water Seal on the floor. It was parked in the sun, and as each application soaked in, I put on another. I used over a gallon on it. (Floor is about 6.5x9) I've still got that trailer, and the floor is still in perfect shape. I pull the mats and hose it a couple times a year, and try not to let it sit around with manure in it.

I've got another trailer which I'm putting a new floor in before I sell it. I'm using 1 1/8th inch plywood which is fibreglassed on one side (it's used for concrete forms). I'm sure it will outlast the trailer!
