Interestingly, she loves to drink out of puddles, and sucked quite a few dry. His thought was that the rain washes animal feces down into the puddles, then when the horses drink they get sick. I think Les Carr told me that Salmonalla is what his horse, Astro Aries horse died from??? Anyone remember? I don't know that it was ever proven, but yes, that was what Les Carr's horse was presumed to have died of. But Astro also had severe diarrhea at the time of his death--and that is the real hallmark of salmonella. See my previous post on the subject.
