[RC] Stirrup Leathers - Jim & Drin Becker

My mare is getting some white hairs where my stirrup leathers lay on her
sides up high under the saddle skirt area . It is even on both sides of her
back and about 4 inch's long . Where the leathers come out of the tree it is
cutout to prevent this type of rubbing but obviously not enough . I ride a
Sharon Sarre Saddle with an E tree and the saddle fits her great otherwise .
I am wondering if I should go with another size wider tree or maybe try
cutting the stirrup leathers and kinda splicing in some biothane or nylon
webbing to try and thin that area out . Any suggestions ? I really like this
saddle and hate to get rid of it and go on the big saddle hunt again . I use
a woolback barrel pad , maybe a heavier pad ?
