RE: [RC] [RC] Arizona vacation & horse that loses steel shoes - terry banister

Yes, I'll second that! I too have a 9 yo barefoot horse in So. Cal. and we have nearly every kind of horse boot on the market, but the Old Macs have become our "Old Standbys" However, I do want to try the Boa Boots anyway. A girl (and her horse) can't have too many boots)

We use Old Mac's horseboots on all of our horses.  We ride in the hills of Southern California, and it can be pretty rocky.  We have had our original set of Macs for over 2 years and they are still useable (frayed a bit, but lots of tread left).  I would estimate that set to have over 500 miles on them.

I love that I can leave my horses barefoot, or use the boots if I know I am going to ride terrain/speed that would chew up their feet.
