[RC] Boa Boots - Karen Sullivan - DreamWeaver

Karen, what is the reason for putting them on over Ground Control shoes?

I like to be prepared, what can I say :+D.

I wanted to try them and see how they worked. That way if I want to use them on a ride because I have a loose shoe or have lost a shoe, it won't be the first time I'm trying it on the horse. The Boa website suggests not using the boots over metal shoes, so I thought "perfect", since Weaver has plastic shoes on right now, the timing could not be better! I think these will be great during those months of the year where I pull shoes and still want to ride but can't pull them out of pasture without putting some form of hoof protection on them if I am planning on riding in rocky terrain. These will be great for that.

I haven't yet had an opportunity to put easyboots on over the GC shoes to see how that works. I wasn't sure it would/wouldn't, because of the flex on the back of the GC shoes. That doesn't seem to be an issue with the Boa boots though. I don't know if the GC shoes are going to work for all of my horses yet, so far only one has done any actual endurance rides in them. It'll probably take a year to really 'know'. Now as far as easyboots go, I know those work! The Boa boots sure look like a great solution for a lot of people (or horses, rather). They did a great job designing these.
