[RC] Old Selam - Three Colic Horses - k s swigart

After reading the report from Diane Dann regarding the experience with
the three horses that colicked at Old Selam...

MY first guess would be that they all ingested (ate or drank) something
that disagreed with them. Especially since they were all riding the
same parts of the trail at pretty much the same times (at least, I think
that is what Steph reported).

It doesn't sound like a weather related "not properly hydrated because
of a sudden change in the weather" thing to me.

If they were riding together part of the time and all drank from the
same (flowing) stream (or same bucket that got filled for them and
emptied afterwards) at the same time, that would explain how they were
all exposed to whatever it was while none of the other horses would have
been.
