RE: [RC] [RC] Weather Change Colic - Becky Rohwer

 
I'm really curious about the heart rate of these three horses.  Isn't it
rare to have normal heart rates when there are no gut sounds, the horse is
experiencing colic, and has refluxed?  
 
I can't speak about all the horses in question, only one.  The horse finished the race fine and vetted through with a good completion pulse.  It was shortly after that the symptoms of colic started.  Like almost immediately after the completion exam.  About 5 hours after the first dose of Bannamine was given the horse was very uncomfortable, had a pulse of about 72, but actually had good gut sounds.
