Re: [RC] Yellow Hammer ride - Jody Rogers-Buttram

Yes!!!   This is a very challenging ride.  But it is fun, tough, rocky, hilly, beautiful trails, but has great vets and will have a wonderful, blowout on Sat. night with Tommy Crain and company.  If you have a horse that is tender footed, I would pad the front feet, but a tough footed horse will come thru fine.  I wouldn't come on used shoes, come with new ones freshly put on.  Parking can be limited, so arrive early.  Primitive camping, so bring lots of water.  Management usually provides a trough with horsey water.  Plenty of trees, and kinda hard to find a level spot.  Hasn't been any bugs to bother people here in the past.  Weather can be very pleasant/cool.  Bring blankets for the ponies and warm clothes for you too. I plan to make a week of it this year. :))  I have that luxury since I quit my job.  :))  (got tired of flying in to rides)

Jody, Joni and the girls--Rose, Aries and Gypsy....Talladega bound for the 3 days.
