There is a very good book for traveling with your horses , state by state listings of stables and B&Bs that will board your horses, it is " U,S, Stabling Guide " 1-800-829-0715 or www.jimbalzotti.com we have used this guide to travel cross country , several times, it is complete with maps for driving directions to the boarding areas, and has been a huge help over the years, some are just big pastures with water buckets, others are more for vacation type stuff. or maybe some corrals. If you are going to be traveling a lot , state to state, and want to plan your stays ahead this is a must have , it is about $25.00 ( the last one we bought was the 2001 edition) we have been able to negotiate fees at some that offer a room , we stay in our LQ , and just need horse accommodations, we have met som
e very nice folks, and it is always nice to know there is a place to stop at the end of a long day, unload safely :) , let the horses romp n roll, and you can rest for the drive the next day
