I have seem my horses eating it off the sand embankment, dug up 
the lawn just to eat the dirt, and stopped on trail in a certain
area I ride, to eat dirt. When I feed Rushcreek mineral, this 
seems to stop that behavior. Even had one pick up a round rock
and suck on it, much to my horror years ago. They like "dirt",
so I buy them "appropiate" dirt for their cravings. They let me
know when they need more, my lawn is "holey" testimony to that. :o(
