Re: [RC] [RC] tom ivers - Howard Bramhall

Actually, Lynne, Tom did pay up on that bet he made reference Bill Proctor. I'm not sure if Tom admitted publicly that he was wrong there, but, he did pay up on his bet.

I gotta admit I miss ole Tom. He kept things lively when he was on Ridecamp. I'd love to see him back, not for the science but for the pure entertainment value.

cya,
Howard

That is simply not true, Heidi. For instance he disdains equine chiropractic despite reams of proof of efficacy. Yet he does accept the efficacy of cold lasers.

And when he doesn't agree, he uses an eviscerating style which is downright impolite. I didn't need that sort of judgement and quit his list on my own a few years ago.

Not to mention the infamous Bill Proctor scam, in which he was completely taken in despite considerable first hand proof, and would never admit it. Nope, Tom has a lot to offer the scientific world but his social skills and his my-way-or-the-highway approachh makes his brand of sportscience a boutique experience.

Gotta stand up for Tom here! I'm on his list and if you can disagree and back up your opinions with fact/science, he'll listen! Seen it myself!

Yep, that sounds like Tom, all right. Translation: if you want to be on that
list, you better not disagree with Tom, about anything.
