We live in California where it gets hot in summer, freezes, rains or snows in winter. The biggest problem is the condensation. We have to cover the hay with a tarp so it doesn't get wet. Any time it rains and then freezes, it is like a rainstorm in the barn as soon as the sun hits the roof in the morning. The heat buildup isn't the problem. it's the condensation.
