[RC] Question re insulated metal roofs on barns - Dyane Smith
I need advice. I am planning to build a small
pole barn with a metal roof. The builder says he puts a blanket of
insulation with a vinyl backing laid horse-side down under the
metal.
Has anyone ever used that kind of roof? Could
you tell me the pro's and con's?
We have hot summers here and snow in winter.
So I would be interested in heat build up; whether the snow might bury me by
surprise while I'm out feeding; and condensation. Most of the barn will be
open, run-in shed style, with one closed stall and a tack room.
