[RC] [RC] hay in Arizona - Ridecamp Guest - Nat Nelson

Anitia I couldn't email you back as your email is
"X'd" out on Ridecamp - I view directly on the net -
so I hope you come back to read responses.

I live in Arizona near Phoenix. The cheapest hay is
alfalfa because it is what grows here the best. There
are other crops but do not yeild as much as the alfafa
and tend to be higher in cost unless you buy directly
from the grower.

We also have bermuda grass hay and bermuda alfafa
blends, rye and rye alfalfa blends, and ocassionaly
oat hay.

There are also local mills that manufacture bremuda
pellets (alfalfa too) that have strict stanandards for
hay selection (my husband drives a hay truck and knows
this first hand).

Hope that helps.

<<Help!! my friend is moving from GA to Arizona and
needs to know what type of hay/feed is used there.
her horses are used to lush grass pastures and coastal
bermuda hay, and it will be a big change in their
lifestyle. please email me directly since I dont
subscribe to RC anymore.>>
