==========================================

This is a thread that I can really comment on.I have a combination of both.
My Arab(reported to be a Bey Shah kid w/out papers?)was un-sold after 7 months
on the market, bad rep.8 yrs old &untrained, nobody wanted him..but me.
$900.dollars,4 yrs & many miles down the road,he's a ride away from his 1000
mile medallion
and has proven himself as a champ in oh so many ways.
I have absolutely no doubt he was on his way to auction but
now he'll be forever in my life & I couldn't feel more blessed.
My second horse is a mustang.Amigo came to me because his owner contacted
a website looking for a home for him.Family troubles & lack of experience made
him feel he couldn't
deal with an unbroke long yearling.
I'd always wanted a mustang & am at the "if not now,When??"stage
of my life. He's not a BLM but a registered Kiger born in
captivity from 2 wild(BLM) horses. The twist here is that
I know his sire,Steen's Vaquero, who only one yr after being
captured (at 2yrs old)was winning at open &
mustang shows in reining, working cow, hunter hack etc,
which said to me this colt HAD a pedigree, mustang or not.
This made purchasing him an easy choice & the other twist here is that
because he's a kiger but NOT
the prefered COLOR(dun) I was able to buy him incredibly cheap!
So one horse(Arab) is the product of careful breeding(but sold w/out any proof
of parentage)and the other is one generation from the wild but with papers and
a daddy who's a proven champion.
To me it was the individual that I chose and my heart was involved as
much as my head. They're both throw away horses for many breeders
but they're my champs & I'm glad we all got join up in this lifetime.Happy
Trails to all you horses & riders!
