[RC] pros and cons of wild horses (was buying on a budget) - Ed Kilpatrick

gee lif,  you seem unreasonably irritated about this subject.   i wont attempt to rebut every comment you make.   as for data or the lack thereof,   i know what my horses can do.  i also know what other blm mustangs, and yes, i will call them mustangs, as they fit the description in the ULTIMATE GUIDE TO HORSE BREEDS can  do, as documented in the aerc records.    there are several good ones out there competing right now. heaven help us that these  heinz 57 bastard children are out there competing in a blueblood sport.  while there are not a lot of blm mustangs on the endurance circuit, the ones that are out there are doing very well.   if there were a thousand mustangs out there doing endurance rides, i think lots and lots of them would do very well.(note the "i think" which could be interpreted to mean, my opinion)  i dont worry about how many ayrabs cant cut it as endurance horses, so why should you worry about how many mustangs cant do it?  i am talking about the ones that are doing it, and the ones that could if someone is so inclined to use them. as for your stance, i would say it would be incumbent upon you to prove otherwise if your hypothesis differs from mine.  if you are inclined to secure and publish such data(if it exists) then trot it on out there!  make sure to measure the angle of the dangle and square both legs of the hypotenuse in order to assure that the figures add up in your favor.   :-)   have fun, i know i will.     ed
