Re: [RC] Breakaway Braking Feature for Trailer - Ed & Wendy Hauser

You better believe it.  The alternative is to have the trailer upside down
in a ditch etc. and surely very bad injuries.  That is why the laws were
enacted.  If properly set up, the breakaway will activate while the trailer
is attached by the two crossed safety chains which are not attached to the
trailer ball.  The trailer then slows down while attached to the tow
vehicle.  After the driver changes his/her undies, he/she  will find that no
one  has been hurt.
