To be honest the post didn't really offend me personally that much, and perhaps I misunderstood the tone. I should not have responded in first person as it was not directed to me personally, but I wanted to make a point that others reading the post could easily be offended by the way it came across. I actually am pretty moderate on the the whole subject, and agree with you and Heidi in that one should buy the best horse that can be afforded. The horse, or saddle, is not someplace to skimp! Where I stand my ground is the idea that a "budget" horse can't get the job done. Given the time, training, and preparation a grade horse can be competetive in many amateur sports.

Before we get into some fuss about arrogant posts, let me say that I'm pretty sure Kim's post was somewhat tongue in cheek. Or maybe not! Either way, what happened to allowing people to express their opinions, arrogant, intelligent, stupid or humble, anything in between?
