[RC] shoeing options & BAREFOOT! - Sue Walz

Tracy,

Keep her barefoot! Boot her in the rainy season when you ride. I'm endurance riding barefoot up to 50 milers. Sand & rock are no problem. Go to http://thehorseshoof.com Get the book "A Lifetime of Soundness" Find a Strasser trimmer in your area.
Also read Darolyn Butler Dial's site! http://www.horseridingfun.com/barefootin.html
She's got about 50 barefoot horses in Texas & is doing 100 milers barefoot!
You never need to drive a nail into your mare's feet. Metal shoes do impeed hoof flexion & circulation.
